On our bike ride this weekend I got to use my own bike. I said I would show you what mine looked like- so here ya go 😜
I am not a fan of these pics for several reasons but I’m sharing so you can see the difference in the cycles.
This one is way harder to get on and off of but much easier for me to ride.
There are actually lots of cool arm cycle options available- more than you would think. This particular one is pretty sweet.
Since I’ve been including the cost of modifications I might as well fill you in on these bad boys.
The prices for these bikes range from a few to several thousand dollars (generally $3K is average). I’m really not sure why since they’re not terribly different than a “regular” bike, but I’m also not an engineer or a mechanic so maybe I’m missing something. If you know, please share.
My husband, being the amazing person he is (so annoying, right?) came across this bike a few years ago. Some guy picked up at a pawn shop and was reselling. It’s a twenty seven speed racing bike that would cost around $5K new. He finagled a pretty incredible deal on it and just like my van, I’m sure I’ll be using it for a very long time.
I feel like it’s kind of bogus that so many of the things I need and want cost so much more than they normally would. Maybe it’s a supply and demand thing. Please don’t think I’m gearing up for a GoFundMe or some shit bc I promise, I’m not. I think it’s just an important part of the equation and since I’m here to drop some knowledge, I’m including that as well. ✌🏼
